Every year, the Gardens of the Year competition celebrates the most beautiful and inspiring gardens across the country. This year, the People’s Choice award is open for voting, giving you the chance to choose your favorite finalist.
Meet the Finalists
This year’s finalists represent a diverse range of gardening styles and designs. From tropical paradises to charming country gardens, there’s something for everyone to admire.
- Anthony Manning, Nottinghamshire: A tropical paradise in a small plot, featuring dense jungle planting and smart seating.
- Ian Rayer-Smith, Shropshire: A charming country garden with a converted chapel backdrop, blending Italian and English styles.
- Dr. John Butcher & Dr. Sarah Berry, Shropshire: A transformed plot bursting with plants and distinct zones, including a greenhouse and NGS open days.
- Kyla La Grange, London: An urban oasis with tropical and woodland plants, creating a calming sanctuary.
- Matthew Symonds, Bristol: A serene courtyard space with pleached trees for privacy and a relaxing water feature.
- Nicola House, Kent: A wildlife-friendly plot created as a sanctuary for a single mom and her children.
- Ross Lee Harrison, Suffolk: A young gardener’s passion for plants transformed a modest garden with Eastern influences.
- Vicky Ward and Maxine Stringer, Cornwall: A unique garden perched on a coast path, featuring 10 distinct zones and breathtaking sea views.
How to Vote
To vote for your favorite garden, simply click on the “Submit” button below each finalist’s description. The deadline for voting has passed, and the People’s Choice winner will be announced soon.
Prizes and Recognition
The winner of the People’s Choice vote will receive a power tool bundle worth £2,000, including a robotic mower and a range of tools. The winner of the Judges’ Choice will receive a holiday for two to Michigan, worth over £6,000. All eight winning gardens will also receive a professional photoshoot and be featured in BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine.
